I've noticed since I posted my classified ads, I have been attacked by a series of foreign "you've won the lottery if you just give me your ssn" emails. I believe that it might help if a member's contact info that is listed in the classified ad was only visible to other members. Non-members who wanted to contact the seller could still use the contact seller link, yet the seller's personal data is not displayed. I just don't like the fact that anyone on the web can view my personal email, and I would feel more secure if only members could. It wouldn't hurt the ability to sell on the classifieds, and it wouldn't require major effort to change. Let me know what ya'll think, its just a suggestion.

I strongly agree. I have made this point before in the mod area.
A big problem is, non-members were contacting members and
then there were problems... missing items, checks not cleared, etc.
I bought something, unknowingly - from a non member from my Want Ad...
Doesn't feel secure at all... at least if they are a member, you can go
and check their posts, etc - to see if you want to deal with them.
