I own a 2003 black SVT Cobra Convertible. Car born at Dearborn on 4/15/2003, and is number 3432 of 5082. In Septebmer 2005 took car in for regular service at 30,857 miles. I could not tell there was a problem with the car, car appeared to run perfect. Computer diagnotics found misfire code, compression testing found #6 cylinder low PSI and air leakage to exhaust. Basically they ended up rebuilding the engine. I did not have to pay for the repairs, and I was told that the Ford dealer had repaired a few other Cobras with the exact same problem, same cylinder. I was told most of the Cobras had no problem, but that Ford decided to automatically repair at no cost to owner as needed if/when the sympton appeared. That was all well and good, except that the dealer, and I, had to wait to have the regional Ford technical servcie representative review the diagnostics, parts, etc and then approve the warranty work. The whole process took 42 days!

Oh, and another thing, Ford did pick of the rental car bill (except for taxes). After 42 days and all the rebuild repairs were made, I drove the car and still could not tell the difference in performance from the day I took it into the shop for standard service.
