Should I sell my 2007 Mustang gt to buy a 2004 Mustang cobra?
Well in 1yr-1yr 1/2 my 07 mustang Gt will be paid off. I have 2 options. Either A. Mod the Heck out of it and keep it or B. Sell it and buy a 04 cobra n mod the heck out of that? What do you guys think?
I disagree. I think that the 99-04 is very attractive and the 04 cobra is one bad mother.
yeah, I'm with this guy. 07 gt's are ok, but you would have to invest a lot of money just to make it as fast as an 04 already is. The higher end 07's are nice but I think the gt is pretty plain jane. On the other hand you know where your 07 has been and you know the 04 has been ponded on.

I'd go with the 04 cobra, I think they look alot better then the new style and being that it's a "SVT" I would think they will be worth more later down the road. Just my opinion.

I like the 04 better myself, if it were up to me. Im not crazy about the new ones either(except the shelby) but thats about a $50,000 difference in itself. If you ever get a Cobra and your into power and performance, you will see there's no comparing the 2.(GT vs Cobra)I have owned 2 Gt's-93 & a 95 and they were a joke compared to my Cobra. I myself am getting a 03-04 here soon and I wouldnt even consider a new or old GT.

I sold my 05 loaded GT to get my 04 cobra and was blown away by the performance difference. I was also able to get the ford ESP warranty for it. So having an 04 with a warranty is great!! You may void your 07 warranty, if you have it blown, unless you go to a Mod friendly dealership (Anderson motor sports in Clinton IL is great about that!!)
I have already added a O/R UPR Xpipe, JLT Cold Air kit, Magna flow exhaust system.
Now it is pushing 420 + hp

Go for the Cobra!!

Yea i prob. wont be able to get one till like winter or summer of 09. I really want one i just need to stop the urge from moding my car i have now and save it towards the 04 cobra.
Ford svt Cobra all the way. You can always own a gt but find a cobra and drive it. Then and their you will make up your mind. If you have the money, well I would then buy the gt500kr and a 03 or 04 cobra. good luck
i would go with the cobra b/c they are rare and the sound of borla stingers, bassani o/r x-pipe, and a kenne bell on those cobra sound amazing all together!!! but if I were you, I would buy a cobra, you'll love the difference!!!
I've had the S197 and now an 03 Cobra. My 05 looked sweet with all that i done to it and it was pushing 330rwhp on canned brenspeed tune. With all that money that, if i could put that into my Cobra now, it would be way faster than it is now(duh) and of course way faster than a SC'd S197, which can't really take no more than 425-450rwhp on the stock block. My opinion is go for the Cobra.
Unless you pay off the GT and get a built block with twin turbos!!

cobra hands down.
i had an '06 GT and its no where near the cobras power. in my cobra with just an intake, tune, and exhaust i beat a GT with a roush charger and supporting mods! and just the other day i test drove a new Bullitt and it felt like i was driving my sisters camry!!
cobra for sure! you can make the new gt's look petty good but terminator cobra's re sick. and if your planning on modding a lot, the terminator block can hold way more power
