Default Need a new clutch

I smoked the clutch in my 96. It will still drive but when you get in it it slips. I was going with a King Cobra, or possibly a Spec stage 3. Or if someone knows of a better one. It needs to hold at least 500rwhp(which I dont have but you never know what the future holds) so what I was wondering is wheres the cheapest place to get one from? I am hoping the trans comes out and go back smoothly, I dont think the headers will be a problem. anyhow, thanks.

Default clutch

The King cobra is a good clutch. I would also check out Ram. I have a Ram street/strip clutch in my GT that I have never had a problem with and performs very well. I get most my parts from mustangs unlimited or late model restoration.

I would go with a "King Cobra" or a "Ram". But if your not pushing 500-+ in Hp I wouldnt go with a stage3. First of all it's more in cost. Plus when you start getting into bigger Hp numbers like that the tranny needs to be beefed up and so on!!
So what I'm getting at is go with something that can take the beating but not over kill.
