Default Cobra Insurance

Hi I was wondering how much you guys are dishing over for insurance on a 1994-1998 cobra mustang. Im 17 and currentley have a 1997 GT and 1965 Coupe my dad and i are restoring. Im paying about 120 a month on the 1997 GT for full coverage and i hav no tickets or accidents. Im wanting to sell the GT for a cobra if insurance is not goin to kill me. If so i plan on supercharging the GT instead.

Id say depending on the year and mileage of the cobra you find, mybe like an extra 20-40 bucks a month. Just dont get a speeding ticket in it or itll be through your roof.

Default insurance

Keep in mind about the amount of insurance you get. You can go cheep or say for instance if you have full coverage, I would go for the 300,000 medical coverage due to at that amount it puts you in a clause to where the other person can't sue you and take your home or what ever else you may have. Talk to your insurance agent and they will explain it to you so you can understand. It's only a few dollars more. With your age, do your research. Always cover yourself in everything you do. If your car is worth say 5,000 or more you will want full coverage with the 300,000 dollar coverage in medical. The higher your deductable the cheaper the insurance. You have to ask yourself is it easier for you to come up with 250 dollars to repair your car or 1000 dollars.

Also a very big knock down in price is How much driving are you going to be doing in it? Let's say you only drive it in the summer / due to winter snow. They wont tell you this up front because you pay less. I pay 88cents a day for full cov. on my cobra and I have 3 speeding tickets ranging from 17 to 25mph over the speed limit with in a year! As long as I only drive it 2,000mi "That's because I get winters" I pay about $300 give or take a year.

I have an 03 cobra and i pay only $67 a month for full coverage. But, my plan is under my moms name, we get a multiple car discount, a 50 years or older discount, and my rents have their house insured through them. thats why mine is so cheap. i go through American Family Insurance.

it shouldnt be too bad as long as you keep a clean record im 22 and last year i was payin 200/month for full coverage on my 03 and my dd just had liability. but since i had a rough year last year (1 speeding ticket and 2 accidents) + i added my gf and her car to my policy its at like 330/month w/ allstate, gieco wanted like 425/month

Age plays a major factor in how much you pay. I think anyone 17 years of age is going to be expensive anyway you slice it. Especially for a Cobra! From what I can remember, a 03/04 SVT Cobra is a symbol 26 when an insurer looks up the vehicle. That's high BTW.

For example, I pay $158.00 a month for a 2000 Honday Odyssey, and a 04 SVT Cobra. I'm ancient though: 35.
