Default What is the best exhuast system to get for an 03 Cobra

What would everyone reccomend for an exhaust system for an 03 cobra. Who do you get the best results from? Who makes the best high flow cat X-Pipes? Do having Cats really take away from the potential amount of power you can get as opposed to having no cats? Thanks for any help I receive!!!

Well, depends on what kinda sound you like. Any of the catback systems ya cnt go wrong with, magnaflow, slp, bassani, borla, etc. Ive heard ya can get up to like 8hp when dropping the cats, but im not sure. I got magnaflow catback with bassani catted x pipe on mine and it sounds really good, deep and raspy at the same time. Since you have the dohc 4 valve engine, it would be REALLY loud.

With today's high flow units, you really don't lose much power at all. And if you did it would be top HP at high rpm. What I want to know is; how are you getting 414 hp out of a stock car. Isn't it rated at like 390 at the Crank

I believe that taking off the cats will add hp but take away some torque. I personally like the sound of H pipes over X pipes, but it is all personal preference. As for a catback like others have said, magnaflow, bassani, slp, flowmaster, mac, and borla are all great brands. Listen to some exhaust clips and see what you like.

I have a Bassani X & catback. Exhaust is completely subjective.. Choose your exhaust on how you like the sound..
