So first off i would like to say i drive a Mk5 vw GTI, 2.0t I4. i've modded it almost to stage 2 and haven't been able to break 14.1 seconds on the quarter mile.
it is the sad truth that the cost of ever breaking 12 seconds will be enormous.

this is why my friend and i have decided to take on the project of turning his (it will be ours soon) 4.6l cobra into a 10 second car.

so i havn't got much experience with Fords and honestly this will be more of a learning experience for me. i was hoping those of you with experience in building up this car could point me in the right direction.
we're looking to upgrade the internals, replace the standard transmission for an automatic, change the gear ratio to top out the last gear by the end of the quarter mile, and eventually add forced induction.
this should end up as a monster street car, not a drag-only car, although it will be primarily used to drag race.
