So theres this saleen cobra i wanna buy. No its not made by Saleen but its has a full saleen bodykit with the center exaust. It looks really cool. I it blue books in excellent condition at 11800 i believe. It has 67k original miles. Never been in an accident with a clean title. Theres no signs of any bondo repairs any where on the car. So what do you guys think. 13.5k worth this beauty here are the mods and pics.

no its an actual 99 cobra. That has those above mods made to it.

Oh ok, just had to be sure. In that case, I think 13.5k is good for what they put into the car. Just inspect it very well though, with all those mods they did you know they probably beat on it a lot.

Thats what i thought but damn it sounds real good and there isnt any damage to it anywhere. Im going to have a mechanic fully inspect it but it seems like everything is done pretty well.

i thought the rule of thumb was 4:10z for autos and 3:73z for sticks? ill probably refinance it now or next year after i pay it off and supercharge it and forge the internals. So wouldnt 3:73 b better?

Yeah, if everything checks out well then go for it. It's always nice to upgrade to the 4v V8. If I were you though, I would swap to 4.10's as those 4v's love to rev

Well that that case stick to the 3.73's if your going FI. I didn't know your intentions with the car lol. If it's your track car then 4.10's would do the trick but 3.73's would make a great all-around gear for the streets.

oh yeah im going forced induction im in between refinancing it and doing it now or just paying it off then refinancing it next year and doing it then. But ill think about that after its in my garage.

1999 cobras aint the best. 1996-1997 and the 2003 and beyond are better. Why don't you look into my supercharged 1996 cobra for $14k.

ehhh im not too big a fan of the pre 99 mustang body style. Yours does have really cool mods but for me to have it pass smog here in cali im gonna have to go through a lot work and i rather not deal with all that. I might be interested if for sale bout 10k. but 14k id have to do a lot of work with the smogging between here and texas.

Ouch cali is tough. It'll pass the sniff test and the computer run but if they physically check for your cats than you'll def fail.

yeah plus after cats sometimes other things in the car seem to become cause other problems ... ionno im sketchy on buying cars that arent smog legal cuz my cousn bout a 92 5.0 that just supposedly needed new cats and thats all really failed and then he put them on and well the bill for making it smog legal began and the hp got cut down from 525rwhp to 462.5rwhp ... so id rather not deal wit non smog legal cars ... thx for the offer tho. it sounds like a great car.

yeahp ... sounds like a found a lil bump tho ... apparently the kid who was gonna pick up my 6ixer his loan didnt go through so now i gotta find another buyer for the car. he was gonna get it for 4.5k which is a steal for whats on it. Although it does need about 2k to become perfect looking. Well tough cheese gotta repost it for sale and hope it sells quickly again.
