hey guys just curious what the top end speed is for an 03-04 svt cobra if the limiter is removed? also does anyone know what the top end speed of an 03-04 svt cobra with a twin turbo installed.

The big thing with the mustang is aerodynamics 170mph is a hard speed to get past with the body style.

Are you talking about a stock cobra? Also regarding the TT how many pounds of boost?

yes a tock cobra........the twin turbo.....the highest amount of boost without blowing your engine

oem wheels were only allowed 180mph thier



ckeck this out for john to hold 178mph he had to hold back to 4800rpm in 6th gear...


ford claims the car will break 200 if you put a wing on the back...


with the tt i say the same,,because at that speed its mostly gears ratio /tire ratio

i had my cobra to 164 in 5th gear but i didnt wanna go any faster. mies all stock except for exhaust.

when your cobra hit 164...was the the governed speed? if so how much pull did you have left in the 5th gear? If it were safe to do so, how fast do you think your cobra could have went at top rpms in 6th gear? btw thank you for the reply

Why are you so interested in top speed of these cars?

because mustangs are known for midrange power. when the 03 cobra came out the supercharger put it at another level. The governor shuts down the engine power at 155mph...everything ive read says that it had alot more power to go, well i feel this robbed the cobra of whatits potential really was and im just curious what it could do. as far as a twin -turbo is concerned i wanted to know if the boost gave it top end end power opposed to just midrange

Of course the TT would give it top end power. Look at most TT set-ups and where their power band falls into play compared to most supercharger powerbands.
