Default 1994 Cobra Questions

Hi, I've just registered on this site after reading threads on here for a while.I've just bought a mint 94 cobra with 52,000 miles, Rio red with black leather and all the options,it has the original window sticker and SVT build certificate (#1888 of 5009) and all the paperwork from the previous 2 owners. My questions are; what kind of cold air kit/Mass air meter should I get for this car? It is all stock except for MAC headers Bassani X-pipe and Flowmaster Exhaust, and a Steeda Tri-ax shifter, (it even had the stock air box silencer still attached!) And what kind of springs should I put under it, I don't want it slammed on the ground,(I live in NW Pa and the roads aren't that good) but I want it to look a little more like a car instead of a 4X4. Thanks for your input!

The Eibach Pro-Kit would be a good choice. These springs will give your Cobra a lower and more aggressive looking stance, improve the handling characteristics, and you won't have to change the shocks out for shorter ones.

I'm not sure what type of springs you need, but my advice is don't cut them!!! I did and it rides like hell!

I too have a 94 Cobra Coupe [Black with Tan interior] with 53.349 miles on it. I had to replace the springs because the pass. side front was broken [rusted because weep hole was blocked]. I used Ford Racing springs in a weight that was close to stock Cobra dynamic. It lowered the car
approximately 3/4 of an inch and it still rides great on those wide Cobra tires. I also used a
BBK aluminum intake pipe [keep the stock setup]
and it runs great. Be prepared to take a few things apart to make it work. Enjoy

I have a 1995 Black/Black Cobra with 33,000 miles. I put the Ford Racing Springs in - lowered the car about 1 inch, looks great and rides smooth. I also have Flowmasters, X-Pipe & 3.73 gears. I did replace the stock airbox with a cold air intake kit - I think it was a generic kit I bought from American Muscle - came with everything, wiring, shield, filter, etc... - it was inexpensive and works great. Other than that - I am leaving it stock for now. It runs good. I am thinking about a supercharger or turbo kit - but need advice from the forum. Good luck!
