Ive never seen one in person either. And if ya see one theres a good chance its a GT or earlier Cobra with the body kit and all. Wow this one is #299 of 300, next to the last one made. I think ill make my bid now lol.

I don't know -- for that kind of cash I think you could better -- nice 07' Shelby Cobra vert, low mileage and still under warranty would fit the bill for me.
But the Shelby would not handle half as good as the R. The R would run 10 laps before the Shelby got half way through the first lap on a road course. lol The new Shelby's do not handle for ****. Not to mention that the R can run 12's all day long too. lol
Sorry bud but I would take the Cobra R as they are more rare than the Shelby Cobra's. I'm starting to see Shelby's like crazy here and in my whole lifetime I've only seen one Cobra R at a car show and it was love at first site, everything else became a blur

I'm not a big fan with the new Shelby cobra. Ya it has 500hp + depending what you do . But I think it looks to big and bulky for me. I'd take the "R" any day!!! But to each his own!
Once again!!!! Anyone looking to buy a 2000 cobra r?
