3M Clear Bra Installed

Just got my car back with the 3M clear bra installed. Great job by the installer -- looks good in my opinion and I feel much better driving down the Xway. It cost me $675 which isn't cheap but it's better than trying to fill in chips on my orange paint. Hard to see on the pictures but there's a slight line of demarcation.

How far up the hood does it go and does it start from the bottom of the bumper. Looks good on your car from looking at the pictures. How much is that if you were to install it yourself.

The film covers 6" back from the front of the hood -- covers the entire bumper and the side view mirrors. It would cost around $250 to do it your self -- Google 3M Clear Bra and you'll find a couple good sites that will give you exact pricing and even a short video on installation.

Cool glad you like it. You should have no problems with it. Mine was pretty pricey to but worth every penny in my opinion. The beauty of this product is you cannot even see it.

If you Google 3M clear bra there are a couple sites that offer connections to installers. I'm in Michigan and found a great guy --not much help to you however. One other area to look is detail shops but make sure they have a lot of experience. This stuff is tough to install.

Looks great! You can't even see it. Does anyone know if it will discolor after a while?

They (3M) give a 5 year guarantee that includes fading. Most important to have a reputable installer -- they'll typically back their work beyond the guarantee.

The 3m is is supposed to be pretty good. I have had mine foe 6 years and still looks just as the same as it did as the day it was put on.

I've got a new 2008 Mustang GT that I have decided to have a clear bra installed on. I'm doing the front as well as the rocker panels. The place I'm going to is StickerCity in Sherman Oaks CA - anybody got any info or feedback on them? Also - it looks like they offer both the 3M version of the protection film as well as Venture Shield. I've been told that 3M is a little sturdier and can take more abuse but that it is more noticeable on the car and that Venture Shield actually looks better. Can anyone give me some helpful advise?

I have the 3m brand and it is not that noticeable. Am very happy with it. Most of the time I have to point it out people never see it. Never heard of that other though. It may be a good product as well.
