Question built irs or build solid axle

im almost done with my 550 rwhp cobra motor swap in my 2002 gt. and i need to be thinking about suspention/ traction soon. my car is only gunna be used as an aggressive daily driver. and id like good traction from a stand still but also want very good cornering ability too. i was talking to the shop thats handling my car and we were talking about this and that. and he may be wanting to trade his irs with level 5 axles, etc... for my solid gt axle. mine has 3.73 gears right now and upper and lower control arms with poly bushings. his is like i said, built, including level 5 axles. of course id have to give him a few extra bucks for the exchange, but id still be spending money on my solid if i keep it. im trying to deside if i should take up his offer. im looking for a great handling corner carver, not a drag setup. any input would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you are just using it to tear up the streets and wanting to play in the corners I would hands down go with the IRS it was developed for that application. Just try and stay away from the 6,000 drops on the track.

The answer is obvious, go with IRS.
