im looking into buying either an 2005, 2006, 6.0 gto or a 2003' 2004 cobra. the thing is i dont want to have to spend more than 25k for the car and for that price i can get a gto with 20K or less miles on it. but for that price for a terminator cobra im look at least 50K miles. so my question is generally how many miles do the terminator cobra's last before they start losing performance? also give me your input on which car to buy, ups and downs of each. i live near seattle so if you know of a car for sale let me know. thanks guys!
terminator, gto's are fast but heavy, a terminator is a sweet car

Both are cool cars and have some power to go along with it. The Cobra are easy to mod and love the bump up in performance. Just with a CAI, smaller pulley and tune they can make upwards of 450rwhp. Might have to look around though if you want to find one for less than 25k and 50k miles. Have you checked the classified section yet?

No i haven't yet im waiting to see if anything is gonna come up for sale local first but if not then ill have to start lookin around a lot more
Yeah, it you only look around locally, it'll be tough to find one with your standards, but you never know. I've seen a couple around my area for less than 25k with around 30k miles or less.

If you have 25g's cash in hand you can definitely find a terminator with lower miles!
With the economy in the crapper the hotrods are usually the first to go. I've seen some ridiculous deals in my area.
I would be patient and be ready to jump!
...and what ever you do, don't buy a Ponti-rag!!!
+1. I've seen alot of 03 Cobra's with around 23K-35K miles for anywhere around $18000 to $25000, so they are definitely out there. Just like mentioned, the market is crap right now, forclosures are bad, people are getting laid off, so people will sacrafice things and usually their toys or a non needed car payment will be first to go. Sucks that you will gain on someones lost, but i guess that's how it goes.
The GTO's (400hp ones) aren't to shabby but they are a little heavier and face it, just having that eaton whine in the Cobra, can't beat that! I wouldn't give mine up for two low mileage GTO's!! Lol!

I had thought about selling mine before. It has 11,700 miles and still has the new smell, so there are low mileage termi's still out there. Try looking on ebay and autotrader. If you find one you like near by, GO DRIVE IT - test it out and get a mech. to check it out. These cars are tuff but take your time and do the research.
cobra for sure. if your lookn for stock terminators it would be around that price. mine was $24,000 with 44k miles for a 2004 mystichrome with 36,000 mile wrrenty. but at the time i was also looking at a 2003 sb cobra with a kenne bell already and it was for $18,000 with 30,000 miles but it didnt have warrenty.
not that i dont like GTO's, im just a mustang guy. i test drove a 6.0L GTO and its almost similar in feel. besides the fact that theres no blower whine

Someone comments on that video that "of course the SC ford should have won, put a SC on a GTO and see who wins" Now where does that make sense or make it fair? Fair would be both a 6.0 or both a 4.6, either both N/A or both SC'd. As is stands you have a bigger cubic inch 6.0 vs a small cubic inch SC'd. I wish people that geat beat by a Cobra, stop calling it unfair when they have a more cubic inch pushrod V8. It's like a guy with a 04 Cobra vs another guy with a 04 Cobra, one gets beat and says "no fair, you have a Supercharger" Sheesh
