Default 1997 Cobra Cold air intake that i do not have to remove the strut tower brace?

So i have a 97 Cobra with 108K. The car is completely stock except for a K&N filter and a Magnaflow Magnapack cat-back. Could anyone point me in a good direction for a cold air kit that i do not have to remove the stock strut tower brace? I found one with Western Motorsports only to hear that they no longer make it because the couplers are too expensive... If need be i can get a new brace if it would let me keep the stock hood. Any input let me know. Thanks in advance! Im new to the hobby so any good advice is greatly appreciated.

And people have the little signatue block after their posts. how do you do that? Thanks!

Is your '97 SVT Cobra a really early production '97 with a low serial number? To the best of my knowledge, the strut tower brace on the '96 SVT Cobra was eliminated on the '97 model year Cobra (one of several cost reductions for '97). Are you sure it is a factory brace? Could it have been added by the previous owner?

well i am not around the car right now so i am not positive, but it is the only strut tower brace that i have ever seen on a 96-98 cobra. the pipe for the intake is made to fit the brace.

if i were you i would just get the bbk cold air just use the head and leave the stock piping so it clear and it dosent attract heat also you should look into a 65mm throttle body

Strut brace on a 97? Hmm, I'd look into that some more.

I have a Kenny Brown strut bar on my 99 Cobra, and the C&L True Flow pipe fits so tight it actually doesn't fit correctly. But it works. I'm looking to mod the strut bar so it all works.

the setup under the hood is a little different for each of our cars, but from what i see on the c&l website it should fit with my car. If not i am gonna just mod the brace as well ever so slightly. i actually plan on doing all of the same engine mods that you have right now. I just ordered steeda pulleys yesterday and plan on getting the C&l 80mm intake/meter and an sct tuner. how have all of the parts done for you? any complaints? i just cannot decide what direction i want to go with my car before i do anything major with susp. or motor.

I love it. I have the true flow pipe off for now so it won't rub on the Ford GT coil pack covers. But once I mod the strut bar, it's going back on.
