Default 31 spline axle horsepower rating, 1999 Mustang Cobra

i have a 99 cobra that i recently swapped the irs out for a solid axle and im putting 31 spline moser axles into with a detroit locker differential... does anyone know how much horsepower these can handle i cant seem to find it anywhere.. and also what are the advantages of upgrading the spool?? no idea what that does

your not going to find a certain number, but they will handle quite a lot. even with sticky tires or slicks. the spool locks the two axles together, so no street use. if you have enough power to break those axles, the tires willl probably spin first.

Dont spool it man. You cant take any turns at all the rears will be always locked together, just for drag use. A locker is a great choice!
