Default SVT Cobra Engine Question

Hey cobra owners Ive been looking at this cobra but I want to know what yall think. Cause as I looked at the engine I noticed it was missing that cover that is usually over the supercharger pulley. So as you look at the supercharger pulley does it look stock? Because I heard that putting an aftermarket pulley on those supercharged cobras kills the engine life.
Heres a pic of it.

First off that looks like the factory pulley to me, which doesn't necessarily mean that it's not pullied. It could have a lower pulley installed. Second the 03/04 cobra engine can take much much more than just a simple pulley swap in stock trim. They come with forged internals from the factory and are quite strong. I am running a stock bottom end with a whipple @ 17#'s of boost and have no troubles at all. My car makes around 600 RWHP. With the right tune and supporting mods stock cobra engines have been known to make 600+ reliably for long periods of time. I read on another forum that a guy put a whipple like mine on his stock cobra (with the supporting mods of course) @ 9500 miles, drove the car daily and logged 90,000 on the clock. He did a compression test and it was perfect, he also strapped it on the dyno and was making more power than when it was originally tuned @ 9k. i would not be scared of buying a pullied cobra. Just make sure it has had a good tune and no sighs of abuse. A simple leakdown test will give you an idea on how good the engine has been looked after.

that looks like the stock pulley to me. those engines are nearly bullet proof too what most people put in them. ford was very conservative with them considering the amount of power they are capable of.

I am unable to see your photo but from my understanding look for a yellow or white dot on the end of the supercharger snout. if there is a dot present, then there is reason to believe that the pulley has been changed before. Typically, a pulley swap is not going to damage these motors unless it was tuned incorrectly or not tuned at all.
