My mustang needs the sound system gone over, i know that the Mach system is a pain in the ass to replace or make changes. i am wondering what the best way to go about redoing the system is. i think i need about every speaker in the car because whoever owned it before me had a system in the trunk and obviously ruined the rest of the speakers in the car. I dont mind no music when im listen'n to the sound of the cobra but it would be nice to have music with no crackling speakers. Is it just as simple to take it somewhere to get everything replaced ?

Dependrng on how much money you want to spend and if you're trying to put it back to original. You can just replace the speakers and it is a simple process. Just go to a place like Best buy or maybe even Circiut City and get replacement sperkes the same size as the factory speakers and put then in the respective places

The speakers should be the only thing you have to change and its just a power and a ground. The amps should still be good enough to push some amps. I recommend getting it professionally done if you are not sound system experienced because I wasn't and I went cutting wires to splice into the radio and screwed everything up. Good luck!

I agree with Geraldd. Just replace your crappy stockers with some decent replacements. All I did was replaced the head unit and added a 12" sub for the trunk and I think it sounds great. As the stockers go I'll replace with better ones.
