Default Rear end popping=)

Well, my good old 03' has started "popping" while driving. The faster i'm going the faster the pops are, doesn't matter if it's in gear or not. I'm going to take out the center this week and have a look. . . Never messed with an IRS before, is it a pain to get the center out? If it is, I'm probably just going to beef up the whole rear end instead of doing that later on /sigh. Should I set up a special target to throw tools at?

My best friend has an 03 cobra as well and he had that problem. Some of the bolts in the ring backed out. We only took the center section out but we had a garage with lift to work with. Naturally it wasn't that hard and we put a girdle also known as a IRS brace on it when we put it back together.

Haven't checked the U joints yet. From my diagnosis when I took it for a spin it seemed like something was loose. While I'm at it I'm going to check the U joints. I'm almost certain it's in the transfer case though! Just don't want to drive it and mess something up. I figure it to be a one day job. So it should take me two days. That IRS brace is a good idea, I'm going to order one tonight.

if you follow it closely you can do it all in one day even if your taking your time. I would suggest to have a good helper to make thing smoother.
