So i found a 94 cobra svt and the guy who is selling it says is salvage because the engine was stolen. the paint and interior is in excellent condition! id say probably 8/10. as for the engine and tranny it doesnt have one ha. i was searching around and seeing how much would a cobra engine cost i was think of probably putting in an engine from a cobra 96. anyone know how much this would cost??
thanks!
Well the car orginally came with the 302, to put the 32V engine in would take alot of re engineering (wiring/trans/computer/mounts etc), I'd recommend just going back with the 302 or getting one of the new 331s/347s if you could afford it...the pushrod engine really is better for the street, the 32V is cool, but is a high revving, expensive to modify engine...be smart, stay in budget, go with the 302

+1, if you're looking for a bargain Cobra, I wouldn't try doing a DOHC swap. For the same money you could throw in a 331/347 like stated above, and be sitting just as pretty. That's what I'd do anyway, unless you're just dead set on a DOHC motor.

If you have to have the Mod DOHC, then check out ebay for some good engine or engine/tranny deals. You will need the wiring, 96-98 GT or Cobra K memeber, computer and so. There is alot of aftermarket stuff for the 302 and you can make some serious power to wax a stock 96 Cobra. The 5.0's are known for torque.
1000 bucks for a Cobra with no motor or tranny is still a good deal since you said it's a 8 out of 10. i would buy it.
