the reason a cobra is out of your price range is BECAUSE of the motor lol

thats what makes it so much more money, because the body is the same as the GT and V6 the only differances are the engine and emblems, them of course little things like differentials and trannys blah blah blah,

but the major reason 03-04 Cobras are so expensive is because of that 4v you like,

if you like the motor that much ide say just go for it and get the terminator lol if not then a GT is just a good IMO

Agreed with whats said above. Or you could supercharge the GT and outrun some Cobras, but it still wont be a 4v. If you want it that bad just save up for what you really want or look for a 03/04 Mach 1. An engine swap is a lot of work and lots of money, for the time and cash it takes to do it you could fix up the 2v and have more power for around the same if not cheaper.

Yea i know the reason for the price is the motor, but i was just seeing if nebody knew how much the motor its self went for aftermarket. i mean i do love the gt's but "kennebell04gt" you've done like the exact mods to your cars that ive been looking into for the gt its crazy, i mean like pretty much to a tee! but think of it, if u put the same stuff onto the cobra you around 625+HP as opposed to 420hp (witch is absolutely nothing to from at dont get me wrong.) I still dont know, Im in the U.S. Coast Guard right now, so i might just wait a couple more months and get my loan approved and just get the cobra. Thanks for you input guys!

Save until you can afford the Cobra. You won't regret it. The sting of settling for second place will stick with you long after the GT is gone.

the stock motor you have with 10 psi of boost will blow up sooner or later. It will not handle it. in a race setting. or very hard street driving. The 03-04 cobra motor will. It would cost over 10k to build a motor as good as the 03-04
And 420 rwhp is not much with all the $$ you spend to get it to that. If you would have done it with a cobra you would have more power and spend the same money. And had a much better built motor. And you get a 6 speed. A mach 1 Is nothing more than a 96-98 cobra. The mach 1 auto does not even have a forged crank. Only the 5 speed. For the money it would cost to put a real manley ford bottom end in a 04 gt And the better block. You could have bought a 03-04 cobra. They are superior to a gt in every way even in stock form. And it is easy to get a loan on it because its newer

well what 4v do you want I mean i have a 4v in my 97 but its not the same 4v thats in the terminator. I have heard that a lot of 03,04 cobra owners want the alluminum teksid block out of sn95 and new edge. I would go with a 97-99 with good miles tear it apart, replace everything with forged internal, put boost and then you will be able to talk hp plus weight decrease
