Default Installing lowering springs

I just bought lowering springs 4 my 01 cobra convertable, Just wondering if anybody has installed them there self. I heard the job is hard and dangerous to install the rear springs. If somebody can give me any information it would be helpful.THANKS

I put mine on a lift which helps alot. Remove calipers ect. that are in the way and unload the suspension. I unbolted the shocks on the rear. Just take a look and make sure there is nothing putting pressure on the springs. If in question, you could always get some spring compressors to squeeze them.

its not a bad job.....took me and my buddy about a hour or so to change all 4. we had 2 floor jacks and 4 stands. the front all we did is use the floor jack to compress the spring and then unbolted the shock from under the hood and slowing lowered the jack. you just have to watch your lines so they don't get pinched if you do it that way. back ones are easier but pretty much same way

you can go rent the tools from auto zone. you will need to rent the spring tensioner or you can just use a jack. I would recommend using both. I have never done it but my buddy said his springs off his 02 ss shot out and stuck half way through the wall.
