i was thinkin bout throwin some shorty headers on my 95 cobra and was wonderin is it gann hurt my gas milage cuz if it does i'm ganna wait to get them bcuz i'll be drivin alot next for school

It won't hurt the milage, but they add nothing to performance...get long tubes and free flow cats and high flow mufflers for a real gain. Obviously if you are in school you probably don't have $1200 to spend on the system, so just enjoy the car the way it is.

+1, Short tubes are like glorified manifolds. Long tubes help the exhaust scavenge better. A well designed exhaust system can actually increase power. The flow of exhaust from the previously fired cylinders actually pull the gases through the primaries like a vacuum. That is why longtubes and equal length are better than shorties.

Add a 100 shot of NOS, for about $750 and tuning you can have all the fun you and your wallet can handle...

+1. for the time and money just to get around 5rwhp, isn't worth the headache. I would save and wait till your done with school.
