Default Tire sizing help

Hello out there, I have been looking for a taller tire to put on the back of my Cobra, I found a set of 275 55 17 tires and I am not too sure if they will fit or not. . . Has anyone tried this or know of anyone that has, or do you have a better tire size idea? Kinda looking for the old school look. I know I can jack up the rear but then I still need a tire size that will fill in the wheel well. Thanks

you should be about to fit 315s under the stock wheels with no problems.. il explain the way the tire numbers are and what they mean. 275/55/17 means... 275 Width/55 profile or height/17 inch wheel.. im pretty sure stock cobras are 17"x9". if you can get me the #s you have on there now. il tell you if theyll be taller wider or w.e you need to know.

hey, they have the stock tires on there now, the 275 40 17, but I am curious if I can put a 55% tire on the back with no clearance problems, the 275 55 17 for the rear. I an not too worried about putting 315's on the back, I am just looking for the same width but a little taller of a side wall, fill in the gap and give it the ass in the air stance

why not just put springs on it? firmer ride, better handling and it will close the gap.
