Default 1997 Mustang cobra stroker question

i have a 97 cobra and wan't to know if anyone's done a stroker with the engines before? i was thinking of maybe a 347 but want to know if it's possible. i keep hearing that it's not worth it or that the engines burn out easily.

347 cu inches isn't attainable in a 4.6L, and NO don't stroke your block, just punch out the cylinders .020 over and throw in some nice Forged Pistons and Rods! The stroke is already aggressive as it is!

i know alot buy the stroker 5.0 or 5.1 short blocks and like it.
but like mentioned, the 347 is a pushrod thing. Most with a 302 5.0 stroke them to a 347.

Dave you are confusing a 302/347 engine with a 4.6 dohc engine, like apples and oranges...if you want to upgrade your engine, you could swap a 5.4 in or add some GT supercar heads or add a supercharger...check out seanhyland motorsports for some really cool, but expensive engines
