yo whats up guys...i have a 2003 svt cobra 10th anniversary black convertible...i got a couple questions if anyone knows the answer. i know the engine is supercharged obviously, but i want it to be faster and i know that simple mods to the car will make it faster, but i was wonderin if it is turbo charged? and what mods should i do first to make it faster right away. i already have the cold air intake, pully kit, bassini pipes. hit me up with some responses.
i think the guy who owned it before me put a bigger supercharger in it because when i bought it the guy said it has around 450 horse...so can i put a turbo in it too?
oh alright so i could turbo charge it? how much more horsepower would that give me?

Depends on the size of the turbo, how much boost, etc. How fast do you want to run in the 1/4? That will allow for others to give you an idea of what you need in order to be "faster"

hellion makes the best kit its $7500. its kit will push 1400hp easy. but if your wanting big power you gotta think of all the supporting mods lol that usually costs way more than the power adder kit.

Thats just the performance mods.
Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go? I'd not believe anything anyone said they had done to modify a car unless they showed receipts! He could have changed the pulley to get to 450, stock it was rated at 390, so the bigger supercharger theory is more than likely bunk...if you really want to haul butt, put NOS on it...if you are just flush with cash, toss the stock motor and call Sean Hyland motorsports, they'll feed your need for speed, I saw a twin turbo motor they were selling on their website today...

Whatever you do just make sure you have the appropriate supporting mods. It is also VERY important to have the right supporting mods at the right time, so take your time and save your money if you have to.

Hey Pembroke...Attleboro here...congrats on the purchase of your Terminator and welcome to the club. Do you go to (or plan on) going to any of the MCCNE events this year?
what size pulley do you have? You have just a mid pipe or that and a catback? If the SC is bigger, it's going to be a Whipple or Kenny Bell and you would know the difference between those and a stock Eaton Supercharger. Also hitting 450rwhp with a pulley some exhaust and tune isn't hard to do. If it had a bigger SC, it would be pushing anywhere from 550rwhp to over 600rwhp.
You could always get the SC ported Stiegemeier Pricing Schedule
Stage 1 and you might not need any supporting mods. With the stage IV or V you will most likely need 60lb injectors, SCT mass or diablo mafia, fuel pumps or BAP.
Gears is another option but with the off the bat torque it has now, you could like it or hate it. I usually changes gears alot in my stang so i'm going to try 4.10's anyways. someone else with a cobra said they love it, so why not.
You could go turbo but it's not cheap but would be a sweet setup.

You need to first decide what purpose the car is going to have. Drag racing, Road racing, or just a fun street car and then go from there. For road racing go turbo but if you want to drag race the car or make it a bad ass street car go to a more effecient twin screw super charger. My preference for the street would be a Whipple 2.3 with a mono blade throttle body LFP. the throttle response is great and you can keep it together longer. As one gentleman said, it depends on how deep your pockets are. However just because you spend a lot of money doesn't mean you will go faster, you have to spend it in the right places and more importantly you need a goooooooooood tuner. Do some research on who can tune in your area and then decide what purpose the car is going to serve and get with it. Remember the most forgotton rule in building a car, take your time and do it right the first so that you don't have to spend three times the money doing it a second time. Good luck.............
