Red face SVT Cobra Engine Problems

Hello All,
I have a question. I have a 2001 Cobra SVT and I kinda forgot to put oil in my car and now it's making a clicking sound. It never locked up or started smoking or anything, just clicking loud. I had the oil flushed and changed and lubricating oil put in two days ago. Will the clicking sound stop or do I need a new motor?

I left it at home so I can't send the sound to you. But it was a loud clicking at first, but now that it has been flushed, it's starting to sound just a little bit better. It only gets louder the higher RPM goes.

Anybody have any suggestions on what I should do before buying a new motor? Thanks in advance!

Unhappy

I have no idea what it was flushed with the mechanic did the work. The car had maybe a quart of oil in it. It didn't stop, smoke, or leak oil, it just started clicking. The mechanic said it may be the rod but it didn't have the sypmtoms of all the extra things that come with bad rods. It's still running like normal, but with the clicking sound.

Sounds like it may be a rod or lifter. If you get a chance stop by a ford dealership and see if they carry MOA. Its a engine lubricant and i have witnessed it completely stoping a knocing motor. I would try that prior to doing anything to it. The can of it costs about 11 dollars and just ad it to your oil. They still sell it down at my local ford.

Okay, I just ask for the lubricating oil called MOA? What does MOA stand for?
Plus, I've already put the STP in there for the knocking noise and it didn't stop. But I'm willing to try anything to keep from buying a motor.

you got to watch what you put in your motor some of that oil additive stuff is so thick it can kill the oil pump like the lucas engine stabilizer just watch the oil pressure
