I have the aluminum SVT heads on my 93 Cobra motor and want to plug the EGR hole in the head so I can use a common, billet, aftermarket alternator bracket. The hole size seems to be 9/16" with 12 threads per inch but, the bolts that I've tried installing in it seem to be loose. Any information would be helpful!

Welcome to the site. The heads usually come with the plug installed. You could use thread tape or call the manufacture to see if they will send you a replacement plug. But to come and think about it. The bolt shouldn't be standard but metric. Try a 14 or 15 instead of the 9/16th.
