Well i recently just bought my Cobra and was wondering which Head Unit you all reccomend? I have the factory head unit in it right now and was wondering because its Mach do i need to install an amp for the rear and front speakers or just get a good pre-amp for the front? I looked on Crutchfield.com and they have a bunch that fit but i was wondering about that Mach Amp......Anything is helpful, and some links if you got em? Thanks all

Crutchfield sells a Scosche box for lowering the preout of the head unit so you don't blow the factory amps. That's really all you need unless you plan on replacing speakers. Once I replaced the head unit, it really brought out the nice sound from the factory speakers. I also added an amp and 12" sub in the trunk for added bass. I usually have the preout set for the sub at -7 to -11. Just enough to compliment the rest of the system. Here's a link to the part you'll need:

I Appreciate it mike, I was also wondering what everyone reccomended for a head unit? Whats everyone got? I want to get the reveiws from the users themselves, i am a big fan of kenwood and JVC but i want to hear what you all think.

I'm not sure what model I have but it's Kenwood. It has a USB port and an extension cable. So I have an 8gig thumb drive hooked up to it. So it's like having an 8gig hard drive in my stereo. I don't think I've ever put a cd in it.
