A lowered suspension is the worst thing to do for a proper launch. It won't allow enough front-to-rear weight transfer, and then it'll unload the rear tires making you spin.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

Back when I first lowered my 02 GT, I immediately noticed better handling (of course) and also better acceleration because of reduced rear end movement. Now that car has been lowered for three years and it actually looks high again. Stock GT's appear to have 4WD when parking next to them though. My 03 cobra I lowered the second day I had it, now some years ago as well. Side note, I used the Eibach Pro-kit springs for both cars, and the GT I felt could have been a little lower, but the Cobra I felt went almost too low... Scrapes on everything, less than 1 finger clearance above either front or rear tires. Looks and drives great though! I'd hate to see what redlines would do to a cobra. I'd strongly recommend getting the Steeda 4-Bolt billet caster/camber plates whenever lowering one of these, however.
The rear end Geometry of the IRS isn't effected by lowering springs in the Cobra, the angle of the driveshaft is only gonna change if you install different lower control arms in lets say a solid rear axle 8.8! The whole axle housing shifts when you install a part like Southside Bars!
Oh and one more thing, I dont know if the newer cobras came with the caster camber plates. If so your all good but if not you might want to look into thoses also you dont need them but there highly reca.!!!!
