Mileage DIfference between 03 and 04?

I was doing my usual ebay gazing for an 03-04 cobra when I noticed that 2 cobras both had pics of the original build sheet. The 03 read "16 city, 22 hwy" and the 04 read "17 city, 24 hwy". Is there something I'm missing? Is there really that big of a difference between the 2 years?

no real difference... it was basically done for the "gas guzzeler" fe ethat the 03s had

There were some minor recalibrations which allowed the 04 to evade the gas guzzler tax. Same basic car either way. If your are gonna mod at all, the Ford calibrations won't last long.

They did it by using 5W20 oil instead of 5W30!! NOT a smart decision though, these Mod Motors have the best wear characteristics with the thicker viscosity, but DON'T go any more than 10W30 and that's in Very Hot areas but 5W30 is the overall Best choice!
