Default Need some advice on my 1996 Mustang Mystic Cobra's paint.

I've been looking for some help on this topic. I recently acquired a 1996 Mystic with 108K on it. I'm the third owner. There is some slight (30%) oxidation on the rear spoiler and hood. But the rest of the car's paint is flawless. I put some turtle wax clay bar to it and waxed the heck out of it and it took alot of the oxidaiton out. But if you look at it in the light at different angles there is still some oxidation left. What can I do to protect this car's paint and what is the best product to use? It will be sitting in the sun alot for the rest of it's life with me since I have no garage. Of course I wash it about every other weekend and do keep a car cover on it. Also, I was wondering how do I know if this car came with a Mach 460 stereo system. And one more thing that is really weird is that my car didn't come with any rear seat belts. Anyone ever hear about that?.. Any advice for me being a new owner please let me know. I just changed the pcv valve and will be doing the fuel filter soon, also.

The first three pictures are of the car before I claybarred it. The last pictures are on the day after I clayed it.

I really don't think it didn't have rear seat belts. That is a liability / quality control nightmare. My guess is someone had a rear seat delete in it and chose not to reinstall them.

There are no places where the shoulder strap would come out of from the side of the car. I called SVT and they said that this car didn't come with seat belts for this year.. Weird, huh? Or maybe they are wrong? I will be doing a rear seat delete soon, though.

Hate to tell you, but once the clearcoat starts to oxidize there is no remedy or stopping it...the stabilizer in the clearcoat is failing and only a repaint will fix it...I had my 96 repainted recently, it did well for years, but no paint lasts forever, esp if the car is outside.

+1. Happened to the front bumper of my 95GT in 2000 and repainted it. Also my friends 96 Cobra had rear seat belts, so i think the guy you talked to at Ford didn't want to stay on the phone or something. I know a mystic would be nothing different. I'm guessing rear seat delete too and someone removed the seat belts.
And nice ride Almost bought one before buying the Saleen.
