Default Best MODS FOR A BONE STOCK 2003 Mustang COBRA?

I was wondering what are the best bolt on mods for an 03 cobra bone stock?

What is the best Exsuahst for it? I want quality but do not want to sacrifice the nice bang I expect?

What underdrive pully's should I get? I hava serious car system in it so I dont want to be stalled by adding diff underdrive pullys because if Im correct the pulklys give you a little more juice from your motor at the expence of providing less juice to another part of the car is that correct?

You won't use any UDP's for your Cobra. For exhaust, i have Bassani midlengths, x pipe and catback and it sounds awesome.
I would atleast get a 2.76 or 2.80 upper SC pulley, a JLT RAI, and a Xcal3 or a predator tuner. I prefer Xcal but buy what what your local dyno tuner tunes with.

If this is your first Terminator, do know that 5th and 6th gear back to back high speed runs can/will pop that motor.

Change the upper pulley, RAI and a tune.
Get rid of the stock midpipe!

The stock Eaton M112 SC is also nicknamed the Heaton. With the heat from the motor and heat from the SC, when you do back to back runs in 5th and 6th (those gears are overdrive), the heat increases and expands the pistons in a already tight place and pop goes your engine.
Some have done it a few times and nothing happened. Some have done it a few times in one night and their motor popped. If your driving the norm and floored it in either 5th or 6th to pass someone, you'll be fine. If your trying to do some crazy top end racing, then it could end bad.

Wow...interesting thread...I've found for any stang a Pro 5.0 shifter is a great add on, don't forget the suspension, subframe connectors are inexpensive and help alot, finally, you might find a good laser jammer radar detector are worth most of all!

Default kennebell

Get a kennebell 2.6 an tune it for around 17psi then get a catted H pipe an some mufflers youll be putting down close to 550rwhp an wont sacrifice the life span of the motor the tranny or any part of it an your system will be fine an youll run high to mid 11's...probably around 8500 to 10000 parts, labor, and tunning

Or he could have his Eaton and Throttle Body Plenum ported with a 2.76/4LB Lower along with fuel system Mods and put down close to the same numbers and run high 10's while saving about $8K
And high 11's with a KB Cobra is WEAK! I have friends with Normally aspirated 99-01's running high 11's without ever taking the valve covers off their motors!

Pushing 17lbs out of an eaton = awesomeness. A bolt on 03/04 cobra can run mid 11's. IRS is your weak point, beefing that up is important as well.
Priorities -
Intercooler
IRS brace

Best bang for the buck - (basic boltons)
Pulley - Upper or lower, or both! research for the combo you like
Cold air - yes, this does increase HP. Infact, the whole induction system is a HP sink.
Tune (necessary after modding)
Exhaust

If you want a street monster have the stock blower ported along with the lower manifold, Throttle body, and upgrade the MAF. Replace the stock intake manifold gaskets, they soak up heat and rob horsepower. The intercooler is very important at this point, the stock one is not very good, and pushing the car this hard without upgrading it is asking for a engine rebuild. Upgrading your intercooler resevoir helps as well (more fluid to move around = cooler temps). The stock eaton maxes out at 17lbs once fully ported. This is about the point where upgrading the fuel system is necessary 60lb injectors and new fuel rails will set you straight and leave room for future mods IE whipple/kb/twin turbo's. Along with more irs support

*edit* This is also a neat little mod I'll be installing this winter, to keep that pesky driver side head cool.

I'm not sold on the Head Cooling Mod but many SVT friends say it's like an insurance policy and worth doing!

Thumbs up reliable an power

If you dont want to tweak alot of the stock parts or spin the hell out of the stock eaton keep it simple with just swaping the blower unit an run mid to low 11's on the factory tires an not even one suspension mod Go kennebell...an the best part is the 2.6 or 2.8 can support 750rwhp+ when you wanna go there i like to see a ported eaton run efficently at those numbers

I've seen stock cobra's blow half shafts. . . Ported Eaton's run low/mid 11's, I've even heard of ported blowers barely cracking into the 10's. . . Low 10's with a shot of the good stuff
