what size motor? i was wondering the mustang gt has a 4.6 liter engine what size is the svt cobras engine from 2000-2004?

The 2000-2002 had a 4.6 with 320hp and 317 fpt. The 2003 had a 4.6 with 390hp and 390 fpt.

Yeah like Nigel said, the 99 and 01 Cobras had the DOHC 4.6. Then the '03-04 Cobras had the 4.6 but with the Eaton supercharger.

4.6 is a 4.6 from your GT to a Cobra, it's what's on the inside, heads, intake and so on that makes it different.

so then it gets worst...... what about the mach1 what motor does that one carry.... i could of sworn i heard of some mustang that has a 5.4 liter

Mach1 has a 4.6 also, similar to the 01 Cobra motor but a few differences. A mustang with a 5.4 is usually implanted into it. i did that to my 97 Saleen non SC.

The 2000 Cobra R had a 5.4 Liter but less than 500 were produced! And Mach 1's are pretty Stout on the Dyno, in stock form they'll put down over 300/300!!
