Default Question re: Antifreeze color and Head tick

Sometime back someone on this forum I believe was looking at a 03 Cobra. He commented that he believed it was ok from having any head tick issues because the car had the premium (gold) antifreeze in it. Was the type of antifreeze an indicator as to which cars had head tick issues? I was under the impression it was a VIN # range that could exhibit the head tick issue. Just curious what you might have heard.

I don't agree with his statement, the early production run 03's had issues and there's been 3 different Cylinder head revisions for the 03-04's with the Jan 05's being the flat out best, the cooling passages were re-worked and they had 9 plug threads(as well as the 04's).And there's been debates about the coolant, I use traditional green, it's what was recommended in my SVT manual, but I guess the newer Cobras, Machs call for the other.
