i have a 1995 mustang cobra that is pretty well stock just bolt ons nothin big asi, chip, o/r H pipe with flow, alluminum flywheel and drivershaft and the tranny at the time had a bad syncro in third

well i took it to the track and it ran a 9.46@69mph wit a 2.0 60ft now it was my first time doin the track and wasnt ready an di didnt have enough rmp's built up for take off and it bogged down on me i wanna say bout 1300rpm and missed third gear well over 300ft left of track
so do ya'l think it has more in it or wat and this was on street tires too

definitely has more than that... a lot of V6's on here have more than that... I'd say take it to the track more often, and don't miss gears when you're being timed!

yea thought bout puttin some slicks on it and tryin to launch alot beeter and had a new tranny put in two sat ago and works fine so shuld do alot better i hope

Leave on the last yellow. You should be able to go sub 9 in the eight without much trouble.

Also, if you haven't already, put in an new shifter. I have a Pro 50 shifter and 2nd to 3rd shifts are better than with stock.

Do the usual drag racing mods. Air the fronts up, remove spare and jack and all the crap you carry around. Quarter tank of gas or less and Crank up Metallica "FUEL"! at the line.

yea def go with a pro 5.0, ive got one and the transition from 2nd to 3rd is flawless. And forsure put some slicks on it ( it helps)

i do got a shifter its a b&m pro ripper shifter and goin from sec to third and flawless now since i got a new tranny in the car and i also think the gear ratio is lower in this tranny than my stock one
