Cool 1994 Mustang Cobra Exhaust question.

I have a 94 cobra 5.0 that currently has an H pipe, otherwise stright piped from the cadys back. Would it change the sound much if i got rid of the H pipe and just went with an independant exhaust? Would it be deeper or high pitched? Which is better for the performance? Thank you guys lots for all your help, i really appreciate it.

If you get rid of the H section and went with straight pipes, it'll have a crackly, popping sound everytime you let off the gas. That H section equalizes the exhaust pulses, plus it aids in low end torque. Keeping a crossover, whether H or an X, would be the better thing to do. Without it, it'll sound like an old truck.
