Default Check engine light troubles

my CEL keeps coming on. got the p1151 lack of H02S21 so i replaced the passenger side o2 sensor (pre cat) with a oem one because my the mechanic said he got the code, switched the o2 sensors from driver to passenger and the code followed so that's how he determined if it was the sensor.
are the driver and passenger side pre cat o2 sensors the same parts?
I fixed intake manifold leak. light came back on. took it to autozone and they said MAF sensor problem. cleaned the sensor. light just came back on. getting same problem code. i need to get this thing to pass emissions b/c i have to register it. i just bought it 3 weeks ago. had hacked up exhause so i replaced it with a bbk catted h pipe thinking that would fix it all. tired of this thing. please help.

used the search and found this: I just opened up and am testing my Autotap right now. Its my understanding that the P1000 code comes up after all mils have been cleared, but a full driving cycle had not transpired yet. I believe once you have driven the car, that particular code will go away

try disconecting your betary for 20 minutes then conectet back that should fix ur problem i had exact same problem with my car

You would have to drive the car about 60-70 miles for it to cycle. Did you buy the car from a Dealer? If so he's responsible, for the car passing inspection unless he sold it as a parts car. Which I don't think he did. If you bought the car from a private owner, then it's your responsibility to pass inspection, Mike. SCT Tuner.

yeah i try different things to fix it. clear the codes and then it turns back on after driving 20 miles or so. sometimes way less. I'm just stumped about what else it could be. replaced problem o2 sensor. fixed intake manifold leak. got a tune up. cleaned MAF sensor. what is left? o2 sensor wire harness maybe?

what code keeps coming back ?when the code followed was p1130 the new code to confirm?

well it is the p1151 then change o2 sensor. took it to advanced auto parts to run codes and he said it was MAF sensor. didn't tell me the code. so cleaned the sensor. pluged in a diablosport tuner to see trouble codes and got the p1151 code again. i flashed it so the CEL is off now. some say when it turns back on i should drive about 50 miles or so and it will turn off. so now i'm waiting for it to turn back on so i can drive and get it to turn off for good. does that sound right?

I gotta tell you my Cobra ALWAYS has the CEL on...no matter how many times it's been cleared or fixed, I tell people Ford turned it on at the factory.

this is for the left front#21,right front is p1131#11,,for same type of o2 problem,,,code can be cause from maf but both codes should be thier for that to happen,,,read these 2 tsbs,,,i found these last week ,,my buddys L has p171/174 and we think its caused from a bad maf,,,with you predator you can watch the readings of the o2 sensors and you maf readings,,thats what we are using...having multi codes for bank1/bank 2,,is a help for dianostic

ok p1151 lean code has now changed to p1152 rich code. drove it 80 miles home. CEL still on but tuner shows no codes. do i clear to turn light off and then drive some then try to pass emission or do i drive some scan again then clear right before i go to emissions?
