Hello to all members im a newbe and have a question about what tarns is the best to use .I have a 99 cobra with the t45 with 125k i have just been given a t3650 i know there have been some problems with both boxes.IM looking for the most reliable one the cobra is mostly stock no motor changes im runing a 3:73 gear

i heard it depends out the input and output shaft of the 3650. Check on what yours is because they changed in 05. I heard the most reliable tranny is the tko series 500, 600 depending on your power. Another upgrade can be the t-56 with a 26spline upgrade. Im pretty sure if you go with a t56 you will need a different and shorter driveshaft.

+1, might want to check out the shafts and check to see if the tranny mounts up the same.
also the Cobra T45 was beefier than the GT T45.

Thanks for the info i have had good luck so far with the t45 my be i should not rock the boat and freshen up the t45

If somebody GAVE you a 3650 just throw that in but if there's no current problems with the T-45 why even switch it out? A tranny doesn't care how many miles it has if it aint broke don't fix it!
