04 Cobra vs GTO Article

I was reading this article over again and I couldn't believe that the Cobra lost to the 04 GTO!

The Cobra out performs it in everything yet still loses.

Heres the part that gets me... In the article the editor says "But when it comes to luggage gear, the mustang clearly has an advantage with nearly 2 cu ft extra space over the GTOs". Now if you look at the Subjective Ratings both the Cobra and the GTO received a 10 for trunk space.

Though, the Mustang gets docked points for stopping 3 ft after the GTO. In the article he says "and took just 3 ft more then the GTOs 218 ft from 80 mph".

I think its funny that the GTO doesn't get docked points when the editor makes a big issue out of something yet the Cobra does when the editor points out that it was very close.

Anyways I just thought that was funny and I'm sure you'll get a kick out of the 04 GTO (not even the 05-06 GTOs) beating the Cobra!

that's ridiculous. my v6 back when i only had intake and exhaust, managed to beat a gt(sl)o(w). it was one of the 5.7's.. but still. that car is a joke.

no, he followed my for about 3 miles antagonizing me until we got to an abandoned road. then he claimed it was because his tires weren't warm (i had him by about 3 car lengths from 0-100) we went again but that time he got me by maybe half a car by 90.

His car must have had two cylinder wires disconnected or was drunk as a skunk, that LS1 does the following: 0-60 and 1/4mile, there is no way for you even to be close to him in any race with a 6 cylinder Stang, most stock GTs or Cobras can barely make these numbers...and this is the "slow" one.

i have seen two at the local strip.guy with drag radial runs 13.50s if its cool out.street tire guy does a little slower.these guys both have stock gears.not bad but no match for terminator.

i raced an 04 at the strip in my stock 99 cobra and bet him by a little. we had both gotten are cars and couldnt get the tires to grip. my best was a 14.2 @ 100 MPH. there is no way in hell your V6 would come close.
