Default Help I have white smoke

Hey guys what's up? Its been a while since I have been on and recently purchased a 96 cobra which I really love. It has some mods done to it but I was racing a 02 lightning with 500 plus rwhp and I was leading
Until about 1000 ft mark and he just pulled away. But towards the end and slowing down I noticed white smoke coming out the back. After a while it didn't smoke when I got on it. How concerned should I be?

White smoke indicates coolant. Could be head gaskets.

Doesn't sound good, but don't be alarmed. Check for any leaks from the coolant system, or even rear of the engine and then the transmission. Something could've dripped onto the exhaust, that happened to me when a transmission line came loose and I was spraying for mosquitoes.
It doesn't necessarily mean engine trouble but just in case, do a compression check.
