Default What are your 03 Cobras dyno

I been pondering on If I should get a 03 Cobra Mustang.I have a 01 Cobra with nothing really but Intake, gears, exuast and minor other things.I was thinking of just supercharging it and adding an Intercooler or just trading it in on a 03.How much power are they really making.I have read in mags that they really are underated and have over 430 horsepower. Also read if you change the blower pulley to a smaller 3 inch on from the 3.5 that you add a ton of power.Little things too putting in a cold air intake and exuast people are making over 500 horse power. You guys with 03 and 04 Cobras please give me some info.I mean if I can get that kind of power I might just do the trade.

The usual comepletly stock 03' are usually 360-375rwhp, which is 410-425+ at the crank. Thats w/ no cheating.

Insurance is a Biatch.

$1500 in mods, exhaust, pully, chip and your at 450-475+ rwhp.

Add $6-7k and you can have a KB installed by a great shop, tuned, dyno'd and be running 700+ rwhp.

I was reading the new Muscle Mustangs and fast Fords mag today and there was a letter someone wrote that said something about the Cobra and the Editors said that some Cobras had around 380 to the wheels.I have never test driven one but am wanting to so bad. They have a **** load at a Ford Dealorship up here near Dandridge.Only sucky thing is all of em say no test drive but maybe I can talk the salesman into it.I mean hell I have a Cobra already, dont see why I cant drive on of theres.

See my sig for dyno results. I opted to not go with a chip or Predator for the time being. However, I do have an Afterburner eFPC that allows me to fine tune my air-fuel ratio to a safe level. Since I haven't altered my timing in any way, I've left a lot of torque and maybe some horsepower on the table. I simply don't like mail order chips and will only tune on the dyno. There just isn't anyone in my area to tune the car but I'm happy with the performance as is. By the way, I never dynoed the car when stock.

I have similar mods and have had a dyno-tune yielding 440rwhp and 462rwtq. I dont want to increase my boost over 14psi so I wont go to a 2.80 or 2.76 upper with a 6lb lower so one option is the ported Apten Eaton blower or the new Procharger s/c which claims 585rwhp at 14psi. And that is without a focus fuel pump and 55lb injectors.

That tune gave you a nice amount of torque, a lot more than me across the rpm range I bet. Looks like you're going for the big power. I would think the ATI will give you much more hp on top than the modified Eaton. Either way have fun and good luck.
