Please have half a clue before you try to hammer on a car.
The current GT has 16 valves, so a 24 valve engine is an improvement.
The current GT has 260 HP (published by Ford), so 305 HP on the GT is an improvement
The weight difference is said to be within 300 lbs so calling it a heavy pig is quite a stretch.
I drive a 97 Cobra, rated at the same 305 HP, and I know for certain that I have a LOT more pull than the current GT's.
It is rumored that the new Cobra (not due out until the 07 model year) will have 450-500 horse, up from the current rating of 390.
Please take a minute or two and look up some of these things before running in and smashing on a car, you have yet to drive.
