ok, i know its not a direct bolt up. but, what does it take to install a stock eaton from an 03-04 onto a 96-98 motor? will the stock motor hold up to the boost? will it clear my cobra hood?i know i've read about this install before, but i couldn't find it in the forums. thanks in advance. i have a chance to buy an 03 eaton for $500.

You will need the same heads and intake, and a tune. The stock motor won't hold the boost once you mod it(03's are all forged) and I do not think the stock hood will clear it.
will the stock motor hold up if i just use the sc and keep other mods to a minimum?
