2 guys looking for a SVT dealer who wants to sell 2 2006 GT 500's for MSRP or better.
Our local SVT dealers first said they would do the MSRP on 2 GT 500's for MSRP, then changed their minds and one wanted 2k over MSRP and other wanted 5K over MSRP.
First dealer who gives us MSRP on TWO GT 500's at MSRP gets our business, We fly/drive to you and deposit 1k on both cars.
if you put the order in ahead of time, i'm pretty sure they have to sell it for msrp. they only time they can raise the price is if its sitting on the lot.
by the way, the gt500 will be an '07...not an '06. it will be available mid-late'06 but will be labeled as an '07. my father works for a ford/svt dealer in mass. i'll see what he says. where are you located?

We live in NY. The reps at the show saod it will be a 2006, we asked several of them as we have read it was a 2007. Maybe they was mistaken.
We have two dealers who have stepped forward on selling for MSRP, but waiting on an answer on whether we can put a deposit on them yet. We want a contract in hand, with a deposit. They were reluctant to take the deposit yet.
Maybe they don't know what year they will be. I'll take the 2007 if that's what it is.
its going to be an '07....my father's dealership has already taken 3 deposits...i believe two of them were $30,000! that should make those monthly payments real cheap!

Creeper. Where are you in NY? I bought my 04 in Pa and the dealership was very cool gave me a good discount and pretty good $$$ on my 999 Cobra with 95000 miles on it. I will order a 07 Cobra too so if you want I can call him & see if he will do three.
I have spoken to 4 dealers in North Carolina, where I live. 2 said they had no info on the car. One stated his will be $20k over sticker. (not a typo $20k over) and 1 stated $10k over. The dealer wanting $20K over sticker stated that he wasn't taking deposits yet. The dealer wanting $10k over sticker stated that he was getting 3 and had a list with 15 peoples name on it already.
Good luck on anybody that want the 07' Shelby 500 Mustang. All I can say about that is nobody knows how much will be the MSRP at this time. Second, nobody knows exactly how many they are going to get. The dealerships that will get one first are the ones that won the Presidetial Award for costumer satisfaction like my dealership. We have a list of 48 people that want to get one first. Some of this people already made an offer of $15,000 to $20,000 over MSRP. So I dont know how thats going to be. All I know is everybody is going to get a call to get a shot at it.
