[Darkness 96 GT]

Hello SVT guys I have a chance to trade my 96 GT for a
96 Cobra.My 96 GT has 68K miles and the Cobra has 78K miles.
I need to know is their any problems with the 96 Cobra's?
I heard some of them have overheating problems is that true?
I overheard one of the Salesmen say that on a test drive that
the gears didn't hold that good and it may need a clutch?Do
you think the tranny is starting to go at 78K miles? Also what is
a better car for everyday driving street/freeway driving? My 96 GT
is a five speed with 4.10's,exhaust,and bolt ons and the Cobra is
stock with only a K/N air filter and stock 3.27's witch will be faster?
Last question what is the pro's and con's of the 96 Cobra compaired to
the 96 GT? Thanks any help will be greatly appreciated!

The Cobra would be faster IMO. Its hard to compete with almost 100 more stock horse power. About the trans, yes it could have been ran to hell and back and need a rebuild. Your best bet is drive it yourself and then take it too a good mechanic for a thorough inspection.

Thanks for the words Dollar.I went to the dealership and they didn't
have the keys because the salesmen decided to take the keys home
with him.I will go tomarrow and see if they have the keys and go from
their.Also I will bring that Cobra to my mechanic if the salesmen wants to sell
the car if the inspection comes out alright.Anyone else have any comments?

I went in today to try to test drive it but,it was sent to
the auction.I am willing to bet their was something wrong with it.
