That kinda sucks but shelby is what made the Cobra name famous. I am sure it will be back.

From what I have read and heard when the gt500 was introduced it was called the SHELBY COBRA GT500. But the production version will be called just SHELBY GT500. The gt500 is supposedly just a two year production run. From what I have been told SVT has the option of continuing production of gt500 or move to another high performance stang. If this is for sure the case then SVT will be able to either do another shelby or bring back the SVT COBRA(Mustang's longest running performance variant). I have heard and read pretty much the same story from SVT ENTHUSIAST, MUSTANG ENTHUSIAST, and SVTOA. Maybe I misunderstood. If anybody else can back me up or correct me, please do so. Either way the gt500 is badass.
