Can a 2003 or 2004 Mustang Cobra (stock) take out a 2001 Ram Air Tarns AM. (stock)? And I am looking at getting a 2004 Cobra Competition Orange. It only has 1,400k on it, what would be a good price for it?
hahaha... i joined this forum JUST for this thread. so yeah... i own a 2000 WS6 T/A and normally i walk pretty tall when i'm strutting around town, but without a doubt i would not **** with an 03-04 cobra. i've never been much of a mustang fan myself, but that is one snake that i'd drive in a hurry! good thing i got my bird for about $10k less than i was seeing any of these killers going for. just wait till i get MY supercharger!
A GT with 4.10 gears can give a T/A or a SS a run for there money if there stock. I have alot of respect for the LS1 motor, there is alot you can do to them to get major power oout of them.. Cams, intake, N20, SC, but I do agree stock to stock the Cobra will run...
But to repsond to WS6 with your blower you will walk a stock 03-04 but not a KB powered cobra
All is fair in love and war.. he he he he
BTW I enjoy racing you guys at the track. Most talk alot of trash but once they see how you drive your there you bset buddy...

With out getting to long winded, everything except a power adder. Ported and polished heads, cams, 4.10 gear.
I raced a buddy who had a stock 01 Ram Air T/A, at the time I had just the gear, exhaust, TB/Upper plenum. I beat him 3-4 cars. He went the next day and ordered heads, cam, and gear.
He won't race my cobra. I don't talk thrash about because he has always been pretty cool about me beating him when I had my gt.

I would be very careful with him depending on what cam he orders. With the right H/C/I combo, those LS1's are 11 second cars...trust me.

I think it would depend on the length of the race, remember the LS1 is a deep breather with a good top end to begin with. Add centrifugal blower to that motor which reaches peak numbers at redline and it may pull the 03 even with a KB. Remember, the twin screw/roots blowers make their peak powers in the lower to mid rpm range.
A 03/04 Terminator will Beat an 01 Trans Am Ws6 by A Football field. Well maybe not that bad, but bad!! Especially if the Cobra got lucky with Traction.
Quarter mile times for each stock:
01 TA WS6- 13.2
03 Cobra- 12.8 with no traction
Once you start with the mods, it just gets worse, The Terminators are so easy to mod, A pulley, CAI and Exhoust and a tune will put you at 450 horsepower to the ground. As to a LS1 will take alot of work and money to get to 375 horsepower to the ground.

I joined just to comment on this... You are way off on this quote. I have a '98 Trans-Am 6spd (not a WS6) . Exhaust, intake, and tune... I put down 348/362 wheels. Now if I had a later model WS6 T/A I'd have an LS6 intake manifold and a few extra ponies. So, all I would need are a couple more bolt-ons and I'd be at 375rwhp.

Depending on what type of dyno is used the numbers can vary. Sometimes there is huge difference sometimes not so much. For example my '04 Cobra put down 425/456 on a Mustang Dyno. The tuner told me that had I used a Dynojet my numbers would been closer to 500 to wheels. I was not aware there was a difference until he told me. I have also heard it from several shops and fellow gearheads.
