It's a tough decision. I was facing a similar choice about 3 months ago i wanted the terminator performance but but i preferred the looks of the s197. I went with the s197 and just had a saleen blower added so that took care of the performance dept and i have the looks that i wanted. There are pro's and con's either way you go. If you go with the cobra you've got the more powerfull engine and the more rare car. But then its used, and older and less efficient chassis. So its a tough one. But either way you really cant loose its a stang.. Enjoy your choice either way.

Easy decision: TERMINATOR best bang for your buck

IRS =better cornering, 390 horse= better ETs,
Cobra name is more rare than GT. Worth more now, In 5 years worth more still.
Looks better on the outside of car. (My opinion)
32 valve DOHC 6 speed trans.
Much easier to mod.

just went back and read that u already bought the cobra, congrats, u probally already know u made the best choice.

Now go race a 05 GT and feel good about the decision.

nope a s197 can't do that, they put down 500 hp when supercharged.
.........of couse I am a tad bit biased since I own a 197........lol

And are heavier and don't look near as good.And just by adding a SC the s197 GT is not 500rwhp the Shelby yes but not a GT.

The curb weight of a 03-04 cobra is 3665. For the coupe the vert is even heavier.

Just one more vote for the cobra since i have a 04 orange coupe pretty sure the S-197 are heavier and slower regardless even w/ a supercharger against any kind of midly modded cobra matter of fact any mildy modded cobra is goin to beat a new GT 500 too and the value is always goin to be there way more w/ a 03-04 over a GT b/c of production numbers. Best bang for the buck you can buy any where any make any model.
