Hey wats up im new here and i want to know what is faster a Pontiac gto stock or a 03/04 Cobra stock i want to buy a Cobra maybe in a couple of months i will have it and my friend says he will race me at the track so i want to know cause ive never seen a GTO vs. a Cobra
hey new guy. im kinda new allso. we just had this talk like a few days ago. the snake allways wins here. the old thread is is on here some place if you wanna check it out.
Stock vs stock the win goes to the cobra. The newer LS2 goat will be a better race but the cobra should still edge it out. But once the mods start going on, it could go either way. The gto run good but, I personally stink they look like crap. They look to much like a cavalier on roids.
The 03-04 Term stock will walk any stock GTO LS2 or not

This subject seems familiar, anyway, An 03/04 cobra has the advantage stock vs stock (LS1 or LS2).
I recently had to make the decision between the 2 cars myself.
After test driving both cars, I chose the Cobra, Im happy with it.
Quarter mile times (stock) are
Cobra: 12.8 sec 0-60: 4.5 sec
GTO (LS2): 13.3 sec 0-60: 4.9 sec
Also the Cobras get more horsepower for less money when it comes to mods. An upper pulley, Exhaust, CAI, and a tune= 500 horses.
The cobra will perform much better on cornering as well.

The GTOs run alright my cobra was dang near stock a while ago and i can get em out of the hole anyday of the week but around a 1/8 mile it would creep up on me...seems like my cobra loses its bite around 110mph or so
